The Constitution as window dressing

For Leiden Law Blog I wrote a short piece The Constitution as window dressing to draw attention to the ways in which the right to a fair trial is violated in criminal justice, not just in dealing with alleged terrorists (which has high priority now) but also in dealing with minor and victimless offences such as drugs possession.
